Shri Ajit Singh, the Minister of Civil Aviation informed Rajya Sabha today in a written reply that during the period 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12, Air India had carried 6.19 million, 7.19 million and 7.67 million passengers respectively on domestic network and 5.63 million, 6.67 million and 5.94 million passengers on the International network respectively.
The Yield per Revenue Passenger Kilometre (Yield/RPK) in Air India achieved during the aforesaid period was 3.16, 3.37 and 3.70 respectively. The Minister further stated that no such details are, however, maintained in respect of other private domestic and international airlines.
