The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC), a PSU under the administrative control of Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has helped in setting up five projects in South Africa during the last three years, as follows:

In addition, NSIC is also setting up India-Africa Vocational Training Centres (VTCs)/Incubation Centres (ICs) under India-Africa Forum Summit (IAFS) 2008 in ten selected African countries viz. Ethiopia, Gabon, Burundi, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Rwanda, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Libya and Egypt.
NSIC has made its contributions for the growth of small scale industries sector during last three years through the following schemes:
1. Marketing Assistance Scheme:
· Single Point Registration Scheme for Government Purchase
· Tender & Consortia Marketing
· Exhibition & Technology Fairs
· Buyer Seller Meets
· Raw Material Distribution Scheme
2. Credit Support to MSMEs:
· Meeting credit needs of MSMEs through tie up arrangement with Banks
· Financing procurement of Raw Material & Marketing Activities (short term)
3. Support Services:
· Performance & Credit Rating Scheme for Small Enterprises
· B2B Portal for MSMEs
· Marketing Intelligence Cell
· Software Technology Parks
4. Technology Support
· Training in various technical trades and entrepreneurship programmes Common Facility Services
