After issue of notification creating National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) on 03.02.2012, some States raised certain objections. Subsequently, based on their request for wider consultation with all the States/ Union Territories, a meeting was held by the Union Government with the Chief Ministers/ Administrators/ Lt. Governors of all the States/ Union Territories on 5th May, 2012.
Government of India is committed to account for the concerns/objections/suggestions of various States/UTs. A suitable decision in this regard will be taken shortly.
